A part of Chronicles of Narnia series has an interesting scene that will help us: Lucy always loved to look as beautiful as her older sister and she found a page from a magical book that can help transform a person to a desired image when standing in front of a mirror. She tore off the page and stole it.
At night when no one was watching, she stood in front of a mirror and spoke spells from the page. While looking into the mirror she discovered she began to transform to her desired image of beauty- her older sister. She was amazed so she looked back at herself and saw she was just herself. She looked into the mirror again and the transformation continued until she fully transformed and the story continues... Now, that’s much the same with us.
"So all of us... can 'see and reflect' (as in a mirror)... And the Lord... makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious Image."
So as God expects us to be like Christ, let’s desire it. But you have to stand unceasingly before the mirror gazing at the reflection of the Son and become more transformed into Him, just like Lucy was transformed.
Thought you'll ask "what is the mirror?" "How will I be transformed by the mirror- the spell?" the mirror is the Word of God and getting to know God through fellowship is the spell. You want to spend time with Him for you to be transformed. Remember Lucy was transformed bit by bit to her desired image. So will you; the transformation will be progressive until you reflect the image of the Son which is the Father's will.
Let’s waste no time and begin fellowship with Him. You've seen another reason fellowship is important and necessary?
