The desire to be financially free had just been ignited in me while I read a book by one of the greatest financial tutors of our days. The desire led to my buying some more books on financial freedom with the intent of devouring and practicing their content. Before starting out with the new books I decided to read a book about “a balanced approach to biblical prosperity” from which I was inspired about the purpose of wealth
I reached an eye opener chapter and asked “wasn’t this book meant to be on prosperity, why this?” the author had introduced an experience to buttress a point. He wrote: ...God had permitted me to see into the spirit realm and I stood in His presence. He was holding a crown in His hands. This crown was so extraordinarily beautiful that human language cannot begin to describe.
Jesus told me, “This is a soul winner’s crown. My people are so careless and indifferent. This crown is for every one of my children. I speak and say, ‘Go speak to this one or pray for that one’ but my people are too busy. They put it off, and souls are lost because they will not obey me.”
...Then Jesus said to me again, “come up hither.” It seems as if I went with Him through the air until we came to a beautiful city... it was beautiful beyond words!
Jesus said that people selfishly say they are ready for Heaven. They talk about their mansions and the glories of heaven while many around them live in darkness and hopelessness. Jesus said I should share my hope with them and invite them to come to heaven with me.
Then Jesus turned to me and said, ”Now let us go down to hell.” ... we went down to hell, and as we went into the place, I saw what appeared to be human beings wrapped in flames... Jesus told me, “Warn men and women about this place” and I cried out with tears that I would.*
I am sure before the story you were expecting some steps to financial freedom like I went out searching. If you are disappointed, the apology is mine. But freedom is much more. I am sure his experience is quite clear to you. Thus, I’ll ask a few questions: what have you done with Jesus? Have you accepted Him into your life? Have you given Him the reign in your affairs? If your answer is yes, have you told your family, friends, and neighbours about Jesus?
My friend, Jesus loves you, more than any man or woman can prove. He says come and I will give you life abundant. He gave His life to save yours. Why not give Him your total trust. If you’ll make that decision today, pray this prayer:
Jesus, son of the Living God, I acknowledge Your works on the cross for me. I believe You paid the price for my sins. I admit I can’t help myself. Save me. Forgive my wrongs. I believe and trust you today. Thank you for renewing me, in Jesus name. Amen.
If you prayed the prayer, welcome to the family of God’s children. If it’s your first time, congratulations, find a believing church and tell them your experience so you can help you grow. If you’ve prayed this prayer before now, I charge you to get out there and tell people about Jesus. Remember, the great commission- go into the entire world and preach the gospel to every creature. Jesus is waiting for you to tell your neighbour that He loves them. Don’t hesitate.
